Pastor Donald R. Smith
I am Pastor Don Smith. I have been the Pastor at Antioch Baptist Church since 1988. Before beginning the pastorate here, I attended Harmony Baptist Church where at the age of 18, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and at that time I was greatly influenced by Dr. Charles Holmes, who encouraged me to fervently study the scriptures. I was then led of the Lord to attend Nottingham Baptist Church, where I taught the Young Married Couples class. In 1986 I married my wife, Debbie and have been blessed with 4 wonderful children. In 1987, I felt the calling of God to the Ministry as a Preacher of the Gospel. There soon after I announced my calling. In 1988, Reverend Roy Turner, the Pastor of Antioch at the time, called me to his beside to tell me that he felt the Lord was opening the doors for me to become the pastor at Antioch. Pastor Turner had gotten ill and would not be returning. After much Prayer and consideration, the Lord gave us liberty to accept the Pastorate at Antioch Baptist church. I have been here ever since. We have seen many changes in the Ministry since I started in 1988, the latest you are on now, our very own Website. I feel this is an excellent medium to get out the Gospel to a lost and dying world. I am excited to be a part of the web age, and am looking forward to preaching to you as well as my own congregation here at Antioch for many years to come. Over the past years he has taught me in the Grace of God. Trials have been blessings and have turned into a loving and growing experience in the Grace of God Please continue to pray for us as we endeavor to reach souls for Christ throughout the world and edify the body of Christ through his word. Sincerely Yours in Christ, Pastor Don Smith
